Bars
Take your pick from our nine famous bars that have pride of place on spectacular decks with incomparable views of the Aegean or Mykonos town, they are a glamorous party launch lasting well into the early hours.
You can even have a Bond moment at the Lagoon swim-up bar ordering your vodka martini, shaken not stirred.
Kicking off with morning smoothies and fresh juices, later followed by exotic cocktails and coffees, they move to aperitifs at sunset and culminate in serious bar culture after dark. That’s when the pools light up with constellations that compete with those in the sky, when the DJ sets the rhythm, and the whiskies and signature cigar collection come out to play.
Bartenders with masters in mixology are old hands at preparing your poison of choice, but why not try something new? Like the tangy ’El Greco’, a tribute to Greece with vodka, aged Tsipouro, homemade tomato juice, a dash of sweet pepper, lemon juice and homemade bitters. You may also be inspired to sample rare vintages from our exceptional wine cellar.
You’ll come across George’s Bar both at the Ambassador and at Kyma, named after patriarch George Daktylides who in 1979 laid the first stone that the Myconian Collection is built on, and who remained at the helm as CEO until he retired in 2010, handing over a hospitality empire to his four sons. You may spot him on rare occasions, lifting a glass to his wife Eleftheria, without whom none of it would have been possible. And you may even find his mischievous namesake George, son of the Ambassador’s MD, teasing his grandfather with the claim that the bar was in fact named after him.
